Description

Wise (formerly TransferWise) was founded in 2011 with a clear mission — money without borders — instant, convenient, fair, and eventually free.  We built a money transfer product used by millions of people and businesses to move money around the world.

In 2018 we launched our multi-currency account and debit card, the first step on our road towards fixing international banking. Now we offer banking features for 28 countries, balances for 50+ currencies, a card to travel the world, multi-currency direct debits and other revolutionary features.

In 2021 we rebranded to Wise to reflect the fact that now we’re so much more than transfers. We have a huge vision for the future of international banking and to enable this growth we are looking for a talented and enthusiastic Digital Analytics Specialist to own our web tracking as part of our growth and marketing teams.

As the Digital Analytics Specialist you will ensure we collect high quality, accurate and rich data from our website and apps. You’ll own the inputs flowing downstream into our BI, deep-dive analyses and ML predictive models.

If you’re technically-minded and love working with web analytics data, this is a great opportunity to contribute directly to our mission of making foreign exchange eventually free. Accurate and high-quality data modeling helps our teams focus on the highest-impact areas for growth, in turn driving down our marginal costs and allowing us to lower the fees we charge our customers.

You’ll be based in our London office, where most of the team is based. But you’ll also work with engineers, analysts, product managers and marketers in our offices around the world.

Your mission

  • Identify what data we should collect and how, to support deep understanding of customer behaviour
  • Protect our customers’ privacy and security, by being judicious about what data we collect
  • Oversee our tracking implementation and process from end to end
  • Ensure our tracking stays robust and up-to-date
  • Own all tagging and marketing pixel implementation
  • Evaluate and plan for different tracking technologies, such as server-side containers

A bit about you

  • Expert technical knowledge of Google Tag Manager
  • Experience setting up and managing complex, large-scale implementations on websites
  • Sound technical knowledge of at least one event-level analytics platform like Mixpanel, Google Analytics, or Snowplow
  • Proficient in SQL
  • Can communicate comfortably with engineers when implementing or debugging a tracking solution, and also explain complex information to non-technical audiences

Some extra skills that would be awesome

  • Experience managing tracking implementation in mobile apps
  • Experience working with clickstream data
  • Experience setting up analytics integrations with AB testing platforms
  • Knowledge or experience of server-side tracking implementations
  • Knowledge or experience of Python, R, or a similar programming language
