To pursue our ambitious growth strategy, we are looking for an Operations Controller European Distribution Center Poznan (m/f).
In this position, you will work directly with the Head of Warehouse Logistics for our massive Poznan warehouses to optimize our total fulfillment cost. Based on analyses of the actual costs and performance KPIs, you will support the local management team in identifying the biggest cost improvement initiatives – and in pushing those initiatives to implementation until they are realized in the bottom line.
Your responsibilities will be:
- Own the local logistics cost business plan and analyze actual deviations from plan in detail
- Identify the biggest improvement opportunities and jointly with the local team drive them to implementation in the bottom line
- Coordinate the weekly short- and mid-term manning plan based on demand forecasts provided by the headquarter team
- Support local management by creating financial and operational KPI transparency for daily performance management
- Continuously work with the central Operations Finance team to further develop our performance management instruments
You come with:
- Very good academic credentials with a background in Business Administration or other quantitative sciences, e.g., Engineering or Computer Science
- Experience as a Business or Operations Controller in a fast-paced and metrics-driven environment, ideally Warehouse Logistics / eCommerce
- Excellent intellectual analytics combined with a drive to push improvements to to the bottom line
- A communications style that makes you connect easily with a wide variety of people, from senior managers to foreign warehouse workers
- Advanced knowledge of MS Excel and at least intermediate SQL skills
