About the position

You will be fully integrated into a team developing an undisclosed Hidden Object title in our Adventure studio -- you might recognize them as the creators of Pearl’s Peril and Agent Alice! From day one, you will be empowered to be an active member of the team, entrusted with tasks to make a great game reach its hit potential.


Alongside Game Designers, Concept Artists and Story Writers, your mission is clear: bring exciting narrative-driven puzzle scenes to players every week. You will learn how we develop games and will update your skills through a combination of instructed training and hands-on experience. You will quickly be learning while working directly in the game, improving its mechanics and balancing, as well as have the chance to use your creative skills to influence system designs and game content. Eventually, you will also take on broader Game Design tasks, including designing new features and gameplay elements.


This exciting position, which is part of the Wooga Young Talents program, is open only to university students, preferably studying game design. With access to an on-the-job mentor, frequent talks from internal and external industry leaders, and the option to choose your own technical equipment, we will ensure that you are given ample resources to develop in your areas of professional interest.


What you’ll be doing
  • Define level design, UX and manage the production of the Puzzle Scenes including the facilitation of design meetings with story writers and artists
  • Set difficulty of the Hidden Object scenes and create interesting dynamics within hidden object scene progression and chapter progression
  • Manage lifecycle of story-related features in close collaboration with Creative Lead, Story Writers and Artists
Who we are looking for
  • You are currently enrolled at a university in Game Design or in a related major
  • You have at least 6 months of upcoming availability, during which time you will remain enrolled as a university student
  • You know multiple narrative-driven games in the casual space
  • You have experience with the Unity editor and the toolchain around Unity
  • You can work efficiently on a daily basis with Adobe Photoshop
  • You have first-hand experience running usability and playtests of gameplay elements and new content
  • You are constantly eager to improve yourself and the way the team works
  • You’re comfortable working with little direction and can deliver against tight deadlines
  • You can identifies successful formulas to f2p design (ideally across multiple platforms)
  • The improvement of the project’s user experience and design are always in the forefront of your mind when working
  • You can constructively debate and expose thought process behind design decision
  • You can easily adapt your designs in response to the project's constraint or team feedback
  • Your English skills are great (German is not required as our office language is English, but we offer free German classes if you want to learn!)
