Game Designer Internship - Puzzle

Description

We are looking for an intern to join us for 6-12 months to work on one of our game teams and learn how to produce level content for casual free to play mobile puzzle games.

Wooga is based in the heart of Berlin and consists of 250 people from over 43 different countries who love to make games. It’s puzzle studio has successfully shipped some of the best casual puzzle games on the App Store. Games such as Jelly Splash, Diamond Dash, Futurama: Game of Drones and Bubble Island 1 & 2.

In this position your main responsibilities would be

• Creating, balancing and rebalancing levels for our puzzle games
• Testing, testing and more testing of all levels and reporting of all bugs
• Analyzing data and metrics to adjust levels accordingly
• Contributing to designs for new game modifiers
• Remaining ‘up-to-date’ on the casual puzzle game market and competitive titles
• Collaborating closely with product managers, developers, and artists

• Bachelor or masters students currently enrolled at a University, ideally in a Game Design or similar program
• You must be able to dedicate at least 6 months to the internship
• You must absolutely love casual mobile puzzle games
• You have played hundreds of casual puzzle game levels (e.g. Match-3, bubble shooters) across multiple top grossing games
• You can deconstruct and analyze mechanics in free-to-play mobile games
• You are passionate about learning
• You must have excellent written and verbal English communication skills. We are based in Germany but we communicate in English.
