JOB PROFILE

The Reservations Manager is responsible for supervising the overall operation of the Reservations Department to ensure maximization of revenue on both a short and long term basis. Borgo Egnazia Reservations Manager has proven experience in a luxury hotel environment and ability to manage, train and lead our reservation agents in delivering exceptional booking services to our clients. This individual along with their team will be responsible for the reservation process: developing reservation processes, answering inquiries, responding, scheduling and greeting customers in a professional and courteous manner. He reports to the S&M Director.

JOB RESPONSABILITIES

• Responsible for the Reservations Department

• Responsible for overlooking that daily check lists are completed on time by each agent

• Prepare or assist in the preparation of various reports

• Responsible for working with the Sales/Events Department in handling group bookings, maintaining files, and tracing cut-offs dates, following up on special instructions, etc.

• Responsible for controlling all reservations in conjunction with the Front Office Manager and ensure special handling of top clients, VIPs, and return guests

• Responsible for preparing and distribute occupancy and revenue forecasts and keep all department heads well informed of any unexpected changes in levels of business

• Assist DSM in maximizing yield management and managing hotel inventory to maximize overall room revenues for the hotel.

• Responsible for having complete product knowledge of Borgo Egnazia and competitive hotels


• Responsible for ensuring all reservations staff is familiar with all guest rooms, selling techniques, hotel facilities, services, hours of operation, key personnel, special activities, functions in the hotel and to ensure proper follow-up on all special guest requests 

• Responsible for interviewing applicants; training all new agents; updating the already existing staff

• Responsible for making sure LHW standards are followed at all times.

• Schedule and conduct departmental staff meetings and attend Rooms Division meetings

• Conduct annual performance appraisals for staff members

• Work closely with Front Office Manager to maximize yield at all times

COMPETENCIES

• Min. 3 years previous Reservations experience in 5* Hotels

• International experience is an asset and strong sales approach 

• Excellent English skills
