Casper is seeking a sharp and motivated eCommerce leader to drive growth for Casper’s largest business unit - North America eCommerce.


This inherently cross-functional role will partner deeply with stakeholders from Marketing, Tech, Product, Analytics, and Customer Service to take the pulse of the business on a day-to-day basis, align on key tests and initiatives to drive sales across the customer lifecycle, and coordinate execution.  This individual in this role will also forecasting and reporting efforts (with meaningful exposure to senior management) for the business and play a large role in campaign and promotion planning and analysis workstreams.


This individual should be curious, analytically minded, a fast learner, good question-asker, creative thinker and smart time manager.  Most importantly, they should be to easily put themselves in the prospect and customer’s shoes and understand key leverage points to creating a top notch customer experience, and how Casper’s experience is differentiated from that of competitors.  They should also understand how Marketing can influence consumer behavior at many different points in the customer lifecycle.


Casper (casper.com) is a global sleep company that launched in 2014 with an obsessively engineered, outrageously comfortable mattress sold directly to consumers. Its critically acclaimed sleep surface was developed in-house, has a sleek design, and is delivered in a small, "how did they do that?"-sized box. When you’re not catching zzz’s, this is what you’ll do
  • In partnership with the SVP of Growth & eCommerce, set vision and strategy for the holistic and seamless ecommerce experience: discovery, shopping and purchase experience.  Takes ownership and responsibility for North America eCommerce’s P&L in conjunction with the SVP of Growth.
  • Lead business planning, forecasting and reporting for North America eCommerce in partnership with the Analytics team, and manage internal communication of performance relative to forecast.  Gain insights from reporting and analytics to help refine and optimize the business.
  • Actively and effectively partner with Marketing to get the biggest bang for the buck from awareness and acquisition investments, lead capture and nurture campaigns, email campaigns, integrated campaigns and promotions.
  • Work with Digital Product and Marketing to define and implement digital initiatives delivering a best-in-class shopping and checkout experience
  • Actively seek new ways to improve the head-to-toe eCommerce experience by evaluation of new capabilities and solutions, customer communication tools, mobile solutions, and innovation opportunities etc based on clear consumer needs.
  • Understand our customers’ purchase and post-purchase journeys quantitatively (through web and channel analytics) and qualitatively (through user research and insights)
  • Ensure coordination with other business units and with key support functions.
  • Partner with Customer Service (CX) to monitor customer satisfaction and service levels, and identify and pursue business-driving opportunities based on insights from CX.
  • Partner with Tech to monitor overall site health and develop processes to support this objective.
  • Keep a keen eye for competitive activities and bring insights to the broader team.
Our dream candidate is...
  • 8-10 years of eCommerce and digital marketing experience, ideally with deep exposure to both acquisitions and CRM activities.  Expertise on current eCommerce best practices and industry trends.
  • An enterprise mindset with a keen understanding of all lines of a P&L, and how all functions of an eCommerce business impact growth.  Demonstrated strong business judgment and decision-making skills
  • A proven ability to partner cross-functionally to achieve objectives, particularly in a fast-paced, collaborative environment, and to identify, prioritize, articulate, and align support for the highest impact initiatives
  • Experience managing profitability throughout the customer lifecycle, with a keen understanding of how this contributes to a business’ P&L.  A clear understanding of the economics of promotions throughout the customer lifecycle.
  • Exceptionally clear written and verbal communication.
  • A data-driven mindset, with a proven track record of hypothesis-driven testing resulting in increased business performance, with a deep set of best practices at their fingertips
  • Proficiency in excel and data analysis, with statistics experience a plus
  • Proficiency with web analytics tools such as Google Analytics, and site optimization tools such as Optimizely.
  • A positive attitude while being hyper-organized and comfortable multi-tasking
  • A quantitative, curious intuition coupled with a creative, critical eye
