Product engineers only

Here at TransferWise we don’t hire coders, who pick up tickets from a backlog and push code to production without considering value and impact.

What you will be working on:You’ll be building scalable products to support the continuous growth of the organisation. Many internal processes can be automated or improved by building bridges between internal and external tools and building new tools.

You’ll be heavily involved with all kinds of API’s and will design and build your own. You’ll be sitting together with our internal customers and make the optimal choice between build versus integrate.

Must have:

• Excellent JVM and Spring Boot knowledge while knowledge of PHP will be appreciated as it currently powers the applications that are not extracted into Microservices.
• Good SQL and database knowledge. And you know how to use JdbcTemplate.
• You know how to Integrate REST APIs with single-page apps and secure them.
• Understanding of the concept of minimum viable product.
• Passionate about technology, product and user experience.
• You constantly think about security, risks, data integrity, and bulletproof processes.
• Ability to work independently and plan your own solutions to problems.

Nice to have:

• You have experience with interpreted languages like PHP or Python.
• You have built systems using cloud infrastructure like AWS, GCP or Azure.
• You have written roles and playbooks for Ansible.
• You have some experience with front-end frameworks like React
