The Davines group begins its journey in Parma in 1983, with the Bollati family's idea of establishing a laboratory for the production of high end hair products.

After a decade of research and improvement the company decides to focus on its own brands by launching from scratch Davines and [comfort zone] brands, the first one dedicated to the professional hairdressing, the other one to the skin care spas and treatments market.

POSITION

 

For our Technical Marketing Department, we are looking for a Technical Marketing Intern (stage) who will support the team in to contributing to the creation of excellent and innovative products, through the research of new cosmetic approaches and a rigorous sensorial evaluation of performance and safety.

 

KEY ACTIVITIES

 

  • Support the team in the relationship with R&D, Marketing and Education in order to guarantee and monitor the different stages of the technical product development;
  • Support the organization and the structure of the product panel test;
  • Follow the reporting system related to the product development;
  • Support the creation and the updating of the scientific communication.

  • PERSON SPECIFICATION AND REQUIREMENTS

     

  • Scientific academic background (bachelor’s degree in Regulatory, Chemistry, CTF or Biology);
  • Advanced Knowledge of Microsoft Software (specifically Excel);
  • High attention to details and accuracy;
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills;
  • Multitasking ability and target oriented mindset;
  • Organization and time management skills;
  • Fluency in English and Italian is mandatory;

  • EXPERIENCE

    MISSION

     

    For our skin care division and specifically for our brand /skin regimen/ we are looking for a Product Manager who, being based in our Davines Village in Parma, will have the mission to develop and manage excellent product systems for image, effectiveness and market potential, therefore creating a long-lasting value for the Company and all its shareholders and contributing to raise the brand reputation and attractiveness.

     

    DUTIES AND KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

     

  • Contribution in the definition of the marketing plan through a constant monitoring of the global skincare market, of the distribution channels and competitors, cooperating with Technical marketing, Trade, Sales and Education team;
  • Definition and management of the budget related to the Product/Brand marketing initiatives;
  • Development and launch of new products and treatments, evaluating the potential in terms of target cost, price positioning, margin, sales and innovation level;
  • Development of POS materials and launch kits in time and in full for the on counter date; management of the translations, liaising with the Communication department and external agencies;
  • Management and maintenance of existing lines through sell-in/sell-out, distribution and stock analysis;
  • Cooperation with the Trade Marketing department for the creation of specific promotional activities to support the development of the multichannel business (professional, retail and online);
  • Support the communication/digital team in the definition of the editorial plan and the social media/eshop contents.

  • PERSON SPECIFICATION AND REQUIREMENTS:

     

  • Previous experience in marketing or trade marketing (within professional or retail beauty would be a plus);
  • Business insight and understanding of marketing contest within the International Beauty Market as well as strong sensitivity to the industry;
  • Sound analytical and data interpretation skills;
  • Highly motivated, result- oriented with the necessary entrepreneurial drive to make things happen;
  • Fluent in English is a must, Italian is a plus;

    Davines is looking for a Regulatory Affairs Intern (stage) to join the regulatory department in our HQ in Parma.

     

    JOB SCOPE

     

    As Regulatory Affairs Intern (stage) this figure will support and assist present team in ensuring compliance with worldwide cosmetic regulations, through a complete and constant update and check of necessary requirements.

     

    MAIN ACTIVITIES

     

  • Preparation of documents for pre-market cosmetic registrations required by EU and extra-EU health authorities;
  • Regulatory check of labels and ingredient lists of the products;
  • Check of certificates of analysis required by some extra-EU countries for the shipping of the products;
  • Preparation of scientific informative forms for both Salons and Spas.

  • REQUIREMENTS

     

  • Scientific academic background (Bachelor’s degree in Regulatory, Chemistry, CTF or Biology);

    THE MISSION:

     

    Responding directly to the Head of Sustainability and being based in our Davines Village in Parma (Italy) this role will have the mission of supporting the Sustainability Team in driving cultural and functional change in the company to maximize its positive impact on stakeholders and environment.

     

    This role will have the main target to increase the competences within the company’s group, through definition of practices, indicators, solutions, focusing on environmental and social sustainability excellence with a never-ending improvement approach.

     

    DUTIES AND KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

     

  • Representing the technical “competence centre” and a concrete sustainability partner within the company for environmental and social sustainability;
  • Deeply understanding and managing of dynamics related to company’s environmental and social certifications (i.e. B Corp);
  • Providing technical support for monitoring and mapping of sustainability data indicators;
  • Supporting the implementation of sustainability activities and guaranteeing a precise and continuous reporting of the same;
  • Developing sustainability project objectives and initiatives in collaboration with other sustainability stakeholders.

  • PERSON SPECIFICATION AND REQUIREMENTS:

     

  • University studies (bachelor and master) or specific academic experiences (MBA or Masters) within environmental science or engineering;
  • Previous experience (at least two years) in: social and environmental certifications; sustainability reporting and GRI Standard or other benchmarking tools; cooperation with other companies and/or NGOs with sustainability in their strategical targets;
  • Strong Project Management experience, analytical and quantitative skills, results oriented mindset;
  • Be a self-starter and highly motivated person, capable of working independently, yet collaboratively, within a fast-paced environment, truly able to work in teams with an “interdependent” spirit, facilitating the implementation and acceptance of change;
  • Strong working knowledge of standard software products for data management;
  • Fluent Italian and English (both written and spoken) is mandatory and the knowledge of other languages will be considered as a plus.
