Since its founding in 2007, the company has grown to become the market leader in app based language learning. In total, Babbel offers 14 learning languages, from English to Indonesian. Professional courses are readily available via the Babbel website as well as on your smartphone or tablet. At Babbel, more than 600 team members from over 50 different countries work hard to set standards for creating a new learning experience.

As we grow, we’re looking for excellent people who enrich our very unique culture and help us to the next level. In order to achieve this, we’re looking for an Entrepreneur in Residence who has a curiosity to understand the various moving parts of building a business. You will be self-motivated, full of ideas as well as energy and drive Babbel’s strategic direction. We will offer close collaboration with the CEO and the executive team on management level and the chance to take ownership and responsibility for the strategic direction of the company.

What you will do at Babbel:

• You will be working closely with the CEO, focusing on strategy-making and helping to translate strategy into functions & teams.
• You’ll drive and support our periodic strategy evaluations and adjustments, and help formulating a solid story with the outcomes.
• You will be using your toolset and knowledge in practise to gather ideas and input.
• You will moderate different strategy processes and manage their stakeholders

What we need you to bring along:

• Well-grounded broad and deep knowledge about forms and functions of strategies in fast-growing companies
• Your state-of-the-art knowledge about participatory strategy-making processes, strategy formulating and operating models
• The ability to think in English, combined with a talent for storytelling and for creating beautiful presentations
• Your experience in desk research

What makes you the perfect match:

• You hold a top-notch MBA or 2 years professional experience in strategy consulting - international experience is a plus
• You have strong analytical skills and know how to get a deep understanding of markets
• You love spinning ideas, changing your mind, going from abstract big pictures to a single detail in a matter of seconds
• You feel like this is what you want to do for the next 12 - 18 months
