JOB SCOPE

The mission of this role will be to create excellent formulas in terms of functional and sensorial performance, complying with the constraints of manufacturability, cost and safety.

 

KEY ACTIVITIES

  • Develop new formulations utilizing in-depth knowledge of chemical Ingredients and processes that meets the desired specification for efficacy and pleasantness;
  • Perform and monitor stability, utilizing approved stability protocol, and Identify any corrective and qualitative-quantitative variations in accordance with the expected quality standards;
  • Monitor KPIs and the progress of ongoing projects and follow the related reporting;
  • Support during the industrialization scale up phases with a specific monitoring of pilot production;
  • Defines the specifications of products collaborating with other departments;
  • Collaborate as a key team member across the R&D department, contributing innovative ideas, expertise, knowledge, experiences with strong team spirit, and pride in organization’s contribution to the company.

    PERSON SPECIFICATION AND REQUIREMENTS

     

  • Previous experience within the same role in structured and international cosmetic companies;
  • Strong professional knowledge of Haircare and Skincare cosmetic formulation;
  • Ability to work under pressure and on multiple tasks;
  • High organizational and priority management skills;
  • High interpersonal communication and relational competences;
  • Strong flexible, precise and proactive attitude;
  • Be a self-starter person with high motivation, capable of working independently, yet collaboratively within a fast-paced environment;
  • Professional knowledge of Microsoft Software (Especially Excel);
  • English (both written and spoken) is mandatory.

  • EXPERIENCE

    Previous experiences in this function or post-graduate programs related to this professional area will be considered as plus.

    Founded in Parma, Italy in 1983 by the Bollati Family, Davines group started as a research laboratory, producing high-end hair care products for renowned cosmetic companies worldwide. After a decade of honing our expertise, the company began creating its own brand of Davines hair care products exclusively for salons, and in 1996 founded Comfort Zone skin care for premier spas. Since the beginning, they’ve focused on crafting quality products that are scientifically engineered to work and express their distinctive style and spirit.

    More than two decades later, the Davines Group community spans over 90 countries, with headquarters in Parma and New York City, Paris, London, Mexico City, Hong Kong and Deventer (Holland), followed by thousands of salons and spas and hundreds upon hundreds of passionate clients. Their roots are firmly planted in their beginnings as a family-owned research laboratory guided by the same desire for quality products with a sustainable and ethical approach.


    Davines North America’s corporate accounting department, located in New York City, New York is offering a part-time paid internship during the year and potentially continuing a paid part-time/full-time basis in the future. The internship program will provide the student with relevant skills in a variety of accounting functions via on-the-job training.

    RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Verifies information and maintains accounts receivable reports including but not limited to monthly sales, open invoices, and aging reports;
  • Guides and supervises complaint resolutions; verifies customer satisfaction through verbal and written communication;
  • Ensures timely and accurate processing of accounts payable; receives, verifies, and posts accounts payable invoices into accounting system;
  • Interacts with vendors and department managers when processing a resolution of account discrepancies;
  • Receives credit card receipts and reconciles against corporate credit cards on a monthly basis;
  • Follows up on account statements and other discrepancies regarding payment of accounts; serves as liaison between departments and vendors in the resolution of administrative problems and inquiries;
  • Reviews, audits, and processes employee expense reimbursements; verifies accuracy of expenses and adherence to company policies;
  • Maintains accounting department files and records;
  • Enters information into accounting data entry system;
  • Assists with month-end close and runs monthly reports as required;
  • Answers, screens, and directs incoming telephone calls;
  • Sorts and distributes internal and external mail;
  • Performs general clerical duties including but not limited to filing, photocopying;
  • Provide clerical support for Sales Tax reporting;
  • Complete special projects as needed and other duties assigned.

  • REQUIREMENTS:

  • Must be actively enrolled in an undergraduate program at an accredited local University, with a major in Accounting. Junior or Senior level, with current GPA of 3.0 or above;
  • Strong technical and organizational skills in addition to excellent written and verbal communication skills, in a professional environment;
  • A high level of integrity, accuracy, dependability, enthusiasm, and confidentiality;
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, and PowerPoint);
  • Position will require a minimum of 20 hours per week;
  • Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without Visa sponsorship.

  • TIME COMMITMENT:

  • Hours of operation are 8:45am and 5:30pm Monday thru Friday
  • Must be available to work up to 20 hours per week during academic year

    POSITION

    Reporting directly to the Creative Director this role will have the mission to ensure the development of graphic contents and communication projects aligned with our stylistic principles and business vision.

     

    KEY ACTIVITIES

     

  • Ensure and coordinate the artistic alignment between the creative department and the video production;
  • Organize and support the productions monitoring time, costs and needs;
  • Collect and manage internal briefs for video production projects;
  • Organize and monitor projects’ calendars;
  • Monitor and verify constantly the alignment of costs with the production’s budget;
  • Follow on site the productions being responsible for aesthetics’ fine-tunings.

    JOB SCOPE:

    Reporting directly to the Skin Care Division Education Manager and being based in our Davines Village in Parma, this role will have the mission to guarantee the attractiveness and strengthen the skin care brands positioning and success through an effective and innovative educational approach, coherent with the brands values and strategies.

     

    MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Carry out education classes for [comfort zone] and /skin regimen/ clients - theoretical product knowledge, face and body massage, retail training courses;
  • Take part in seminars, tradeshows, workshops in the capacity of demonstrations, public speaker, assistance in PR events;
  • Provide a constructive evaluation of all training participants to the Corporate Education Department and the Business Development Manager responsible for the area;
  • Create training materials (powerpoints, education tools) and conduction of webinars and skype trainings;
  • Plan all training requests from distributors and BDM’s with approval of the International Sales Director/General Manager;
  • Coordinate international freelancers, briefing and preparing them and the necessary supports for their assignments;
  • Organize and manage the International Train the Trainer sessions held in Parma (or abroad) once/twice a year in collaboration with the Skin Care Division Education Manager;
  • Cooperate with international trade marketing and customer care teams in terms of product launches, stock deliveries for training etc;
  • Collaboration with technical marketing for educational support, panel tests and treatment development.

    JOB SCOPE:

    The mission will be to to support sales through trade marketing and event management initiatives that highly contribute to the activity of the sales network, impacting on the growth of customers’ business and on the [ comfort zone ] and /skin regimen/ image and brand awareness.

    He/she will handle requests and projects both in the Trade Marketing and Events Areas, supporting the development of the brand within the international department in defining engaging and exclusive strategies for clients.

     

    MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Development and execution of the promotional plan and associated presentation tools for brand/product launches, brand penetration, sales growth, customer acquisition & retention program;
  • Supporting Distributors, WW Business Development Managers and affiliates in the development and strengthening of the market;
  • Definition of the best local promotion strategies in order to bring a concreate commercial and economical evaluation and implementation;
  • Support distributors and affiliates with the forecast definition for Products Launches, Marketing & Merchandising tools, Promotional items and prospections kits;
  • Analysis of Local sales cycle results in comparison with Products &Brand performances set objectives;
  • Studying and monitoring both [comfort zone] and /Skin Regimen/ brands’ market penetration;
  • Analysis of Market and competitors within sales and marketing data and trends in order to define strategical initiative programs for the sales team;
  • Support in the development of exclusive events in order to increase the Brand awareness and value in clients and distributors;
  • Definition and creation of Specific communication initiatives and projects.

  • THE IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL:

  • Have a proved experience and a strong working knowledge in marketing, sales or trade within the professional beauty industry;
