Would you describe yourself as a creative and ambitious engineer who’s always knows when to use the right tool for the job? If your answer is yes, you’re going to fit right in with our team. We’re looking for an experienced and enthusiastic Frontend Engineer who uses elegant design to give Funding Circle that competitive edge. We are a group of passionate engineers whose bread and butter is learning new ways of improving our skills and our platform, and fostering a collaborative and inclusive environment - we’re looking for partners in crime who feel the same.

• Be a builder: our engineers are building and expanding our highly-available architecture to handle billions in loans originated through our pipeline. We’re creating resilient UIs that allow our users to easily navigate through our apps.
• Be a collaborator: you will be expected to forge deep bonds with your business counterparts to truly understand the needs of our Borrowers and Investors. We work in an Agile environment including pair programming and daily standups.
• Be a consolidator: we’re constantly reevaluating our stack and looking for new ways to increase efficiency. One of your key responsibilities will be to consolidate our front-end architecture approach.
• Be an innovator: you will apply innovative technology to scale in terms of software performance, maintainability, and business processes.
• Be a teacher: be generous with your time and expertise to teach stakeholders how to answer their own questions with tools you build.

• 2+ years of experience in front-end development.
• Excellent command of HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript.
• Experience with AngularJS, React & Redux.
• Knowledge of additional programming languages (Ruby or PHP is a plus).
• Experience with using UI frameworks.
• Highly Proficient in Git or a deep understanding of version control tools and branching model.
• Commitment to customer success and delivering a high-quality user experience.
• Experience working on small teams and being self-directed.

• Experience working with Agile, iterative development and best practices such as Continuous Deployment, Continuous Integration, BDD and TDD.
• Experience working with AWS
• Experience working with RESTful APIs
• Strong sense of visual design.
