The Brand Sales Manager's responsibilities include developing strong relationships with advertisers and brands, connecting with key business executives and stakeholders to pitch them our brand solutions either in face-to-face meetings or over phone demos, identifying needs, qualifying budgets, negotiating and closing deals, managing campaigns, as well as the key account management of existing clients.
The Brand Sales Manager will liaise between customers and our ad operations teams to ensure the timely and successful delivery of our brand campaigns. The ideal candidate is able to identify customer needs and has a solid knowledge of the online marketing and advertising landscape to be able to pitch the right ad solutions that will help them to reach their goals.
This is a 12 month fixed-term contract/temporary role for the purposes of covering a maternity leave. The position would start on or before March 2019.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
  • Identifying and pitching new potential brand clients as well as managing existing clients and their ongoing campaigns
  • Own prospecting and lead generation, cold outreach to brands, setting up meetings, pitching the benefits of advertising on Houzz, negotiating deals and closing salesBuilding and managing a well filled pipeline of brand prospects and consistently closing sales to hit our quarterly revenue targets
  • Providing dedicated account management to existing ongoing client relationships and campaigns
  • Renewing existing clients for new campaigns and nurturing relationships
  • Pitching suitable UK brands to sell on the Houzz Marketplace, working closely with the Marketplace team
  • Working with our ad operations teams to ensure that agreed advertisements are launched on time
  • Meeting and exceeding sales targets on a regular basis
  • What you need to be successful in this role:
  • Impeccable verbal and written communication skills
  • Proven experience as a Sales Account Manager, Key Account Manager or other relevant experience in digital advertising (brands or agencies)
  • A passion for sales - you love driving new business and have a proven track record of hitting sales targets and KPIs.
  • A keen interest in the marketing and advertising industry, learning and adapting to new trends in the market
  • Familiarity with CRM tools (such as Salesforce)
  • Ability to work with others in a friendly, cooperative manner and inspire your team to collaborate in alignment with our culture
  • Previous B2B, new business and sales experience (3+ years)
  • Experience working in a hyper-growth startup or fast growing environment preferred
