Houzz is looking for a talented Commissions Analyst to join our Sales Planning team in London. This individual will have a background being a main point of contact for questions relating to sales commissions, including calculations, compensation plans and payouts. They will have a demonstrable history of collaborating across departments, seeking process improvements and adapting to changes.
Exceptional communication skills and the ability to quickly establish a rapport with all levels of internal staff are a must. They are detail-oriented, have exceptional problem solving skills and the ability to multitask. They will enjoy working in a fast paced, dynamic environment and thrive on finding solutions to daily challenges. The ideal candidate will also have a background that includes a mixture of sales operations, sales planning, data management and administrative support.
In the role, they will relentlessly pursue the highest level of data quality and measure data health on a regular basis. They will also work closely with cross-functional teams to drive processes and procedures within Salesforce to support the strategic direction of the Sales and Marketing teams. As a subject-matter expert, their strong commissions experience will help as they work with business owners to define and establish quality rules and definitions consistent with departmental and organizational strategies.
As part of the wider Sales Planning team, they will also undertake a wide range of analytical and administrative tasks, including analysing and communicating results, assigning leads, maintaining Salesforce records and general team support.
Responsibilities:
  • Understand current Houzz compensation plans and how these can be implemented
  • Calculate commissions and bonus payouts to a high degree of accuracy, within challenging deadlines, on a monthly basis.
  • Maintain and enhance an existing suite of commissions calculators.
  • Find and drive process improvements and automations, always questioning the ‘norm’.
  • Improve existing checks and balances to improve accuracy of output - aim for perfection.
  • Input into the development of existing compensation plans, and work with senior leaders on creation of new plans to help achieve the company’s strategic vision.
  • Provide thorough analysis of monthly results, giving stakeholders clear insights into them, proactively highlighting trends and fluctuations.
  • Communicate complex logic in an easily understandable way for non-experts.
  • Respond clearly, concisely and in a timely manner to requests for information and insights from managers and sales reps alike.
  • Understand the sensitive nature of the role and maintain informational and professional integrity.
  • Support the wider Sales Planning team with ad-hoc, daily tasks.
  • Requirements:
  • 2+ years experience in Commissions/Compensation focused role
  • Very strong Google Sheets/Excel skills (lookups and pivot tables absolute minimum) and related data manipulation
  • Salesforce experience a big plus
  • Very strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Experience managing multiple concurrent projects and tasks.
  • Demonstrated success in collaborating across different departments and roles
  • Desire to work and thrive in a fast-paced, constantly evolving industry.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality of private and sensitive information, records and reports
  • Operational background in Sales, Marketing and/or Customer Service a bonus
