Join Houzz and help revolutionise the home decor industry by providing an integrated shopping experience where customers can find inspiration for their homes and buy products all in one place.
Houzz is looking for a talented individual to join our Merchandising team. This individual will be analytical, detail-oriented and have exceptional problem solving skills. He/she will have a background that includes a mixture of merchandising, inventory planning and data analysis.
Responsibilities include, but not limited to:
  • Work with the merchandising and buying teams to develop detailed assortment and category plans for the buying team.
  • Analyze sales performance, inventory levels and put together action plans for the team.
  • Analyze bestsellers (e.g., bestselling price points, colours or styles).
  • Monitor slow sellers and take action to improve performance.
  • Identify high potential areas for assortment development.
  • Conduct pricing analysis and ensure margins for products are being met.
  • Perform WSSI Updates
  • Support buying team on buying planning issues.
  • Review orders on a weekly basis and work with the buyers to guarantee products.
  • Build reports for the buying team.
    • Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
  • +5 years of working experience in an merchandising/planning role
  • Experience in a buying/ecommerce role is highly desired
  • Strong analytical and numerical skills
  • Highly organized and structured
  • Strong Excel Knowledge; Google Sheets knowledge a plus
  • Strong sense of urgency and the ability to work in fast paced sales and client services environment
  • Exceptional collaboration skills – you enjoy working in a team setting
  • Detail-oriented, with exceptional problem solving skills and the ability to multi-task.
  • Ability to plan and prioritise
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skillsInternet/tech savvy
  • Salesforce experience a plus
  • Proficiency of business English is required
