Houzz is looking for a multidisciplinary Product Design Lead to join our close-knit design team. You’ll work hands-on with designers, engineers, product managers and other team members to develop design strategies for consumer products across the Houzz platform. Our team iterates fast, utilizes data, and collaborates closely with cross-functional teams. We are looking for someone who has experience leading a design team that makes a big impact on a great product.

Your future:

Take full ownership of projects

Work with product managers, data-analysts, engineers, and others to help define strategy and product requirements.

Design for many platforms and types of content. You are someone who can see individual projects and assets as a moving piece in the big picture, and can orchestrate them accordingly.

Leverage data to create designs that optimize conversion and foster user acquisitions.

Show attention to detail on all levels

Design doesn’t begin or end in Sketch. We are constantly brainstorming new ideas while optimizing current designs.

Plan and design consumer products while working with engineers and product managers.

Your past:

You’ve shipped products

Your portfolio is filled with product designs that demonstrate how you solved specific problems to meet users needs.

You have excellent communication skills

You know how to present your designs and communicate what problems they are solving. Being able to give and receive feedback is a must.

Design skills

Demonstrated use of user-centered design principles as well as an understanding of trends in product design, including interaction patterns for web and mobile.
