At Moneyfarm we use technology to make investing and saving accessible to everyone in a simple and transparent way. As a technology team we ensure that our architecture is highly testable and that every step of our process is repeatable and automated.
 
As Senior Front End Engineer you will work actively in shaping the product working closely with the design team. Building a beautiful and effective UX will be key to the success of our service and the Front End team has a pivotal role in making this a reality.
Responsibilities
  • Work with product managers and designers to set the direction of Moneyfarm’s web front end.
  • Analyse, plan and deliver work as part of a scrum dev team
  • Develop the web frontend of Moneyfarm’s applications and write automated test code
  • Review code written by your peers
  • Mentor junior developers
    • Essential Requirements
  • BS or MS degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or related field
  • 7+ years of relevant experience in a fast growth organisation
  • Extensive experience building complex and beautiful web applications with HTML, CSS and a javascript stack - node.js, Angular, bower, grunt and related frameworks.
  • An understanding of the principles of design, UI, and user experience.
  • Experience with responsive web, browser compatibility and usability
  • Experience with Scrum, user stories and iterative development
    • Preferred Requirements
  • Masters degree or PhD
  • Experience with Scala
  • Experience with SQL
  • Excellent communication skills
