You like to break other people's stuff apart and build your own from what you have. You very well know you router from your modem, your Raspberry Pi from your Arduino, your TRRS from your XLR and what's the current version of macOS. Naturally inquisitive and keen to learn.
You like programming and the ability to automate the more menial parts of your work but you prefer to keep your hands on the equipment and fixing things.
You take pride in having all your equipment running smoothly and in solving issues before they become problems to anyone. You're open and approachable.
You will define the function of IT systems at Moneyfarm, working in close relationship with office management and reporting into the engineering department.
Main responsibilities:
  • Provide desktop and application support responding to, documenting and resolving service tickets in a timely manner according to SLAs.
  • Provision, maintain and support the entire fleet of laptops and desktops across two geographies (mostly macOS).
  • Procure, install and maintain all office electronic equipment, including printer, scanner, routers and APs, chromecasts and Raspberry Pis, backup servers and wall screens.
  • Ensure stable and healthy connections between offices, AWS VPNs and the internet.
  • Design, propose and maintain a meeting-room booking solution for Google Calendar with in-room interfaces.
  • Design, propose and maintain a solution for seamless video conferencing across offices.
  • Manage the sale or disposal of old equipment in a safe, secure and environment-friendly way.
  • Assist with user account activation and deactivation, increasing the level of automation and streamlining the process where possible.
  • Own the equipment inventory and take care of its organisation and adequate supply.
  • Be proactive in identifying issues that might affect the productivity of the business.
  • Must have:
  • At least two years of hands-on experience working in an end-user desktop support role or computer operations environment
  • Experience and a good understanding of Mac provisioning.
  • Knowledge of networking concepts, tools and equipment.
  • Experience in first line support.
  • Good to have:
  • Experience with one of JAMF, Airwatch or Addigy. Familiarity with two or more is a plus.
  • Have good communication skills both written and verbal.
  • Excellent time-management skills.
  • Some knowledge of linux, shell and scripting languages.
  • An interest for identity and security is a plus.
  • Experience with G-suite and an understanding of LDAP and SSO are nice pluses.
