We are looking for a Senior HR Specialist Retail to establish a partnership relationship with the retail side of our business, which consists of around 60 stores in Germany and Austria. Working closely with District Managers, store management, the EMEA HR Retail Community and the country’s HR team, you will help define the retail HR strategy, policies and procedures, set up effective recruitment processes and provide a confidential and efficient HR service to all retail personnel.


Covering all areas of HR, the role will involve:

  • Establishing a clear partnership strategy between HR and the Retail, with a constant presence in Store across the country 
  • Defining effective recruitment procedures to ensure we hire excellent, relevant candidates in the most cost effective manner 
  • Ensuring effectiveness of the retail workforce across the whole employee lifecycle, ensuring the proper initiatives are implemented related to induction, performance management, career and succession planning 
  • All aspects of employee relations from, grievances to resolving performance/disciplinary issues to defining exit plans where necessary 
  • Training and developing Store Managers regarding coaching and development 
  • Working with Area and Store Managers to provide customer service/selling skills workshops for all retail staff and establishing suitable working hours to ensure good customer service and security 
  • Participating in EMEA-wide projects for the development and improvement of our HR Retail tool supporting the development of our retail network 
  • Producing reports as and when requested using the HR/Payroll system. 


Having worked within a retail HR environment, you will be at ease with staff turnover information and cost centers and will ideally have some line management experience. Good organisational skills and the ability to work well under pressure is a prerequisite as is a clean driving license. You will be enthusiastic, with a ‘can do’ approach, happy to take on any challenge that comes your way. Given the variety of people you will be working with you will have excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Working knowledge of Workday would also be advantageous although not essential.
